Operations Manager at Lexco Cable

Lexco Cable, a TMA member company, is seeking an Operations Manager to join our team. Working closely with the company owner, this newly-established position will play a key role on our management team and supporting company operations.

The ideal candidate will embody our company values of hard work, respect, customer-focus and quality. Additionally, s/he will have supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting, be cross-trained in Quality Control, Receiving, Inspection and/or Shipping. The ideal candidate will enjoy being in a hands-on supervisory role and providing hands-on support to coach team members and manage the operation.

Stationed in the shop, this role will require working across several different processes/departments to provide the best coaching and leadership to our team. The ideal candidate will find this varied work both challenging and interesting, and will enjoy the positive impact that s/he can make across our business.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Working closely with company owner to provide extra band-width to senior management.
• Supervising various production departments.
• Providing guidance and support to plant employees.
• Helping with production scheduling.
• Partnering closely with Quality Control to help prevent and correct process errors that impact product quality.
• Liaising with the Shipping department to ensure customer special requirements are met and products reach their destination without damage.
• Facilitating communication between the production shop and engineering departments when tooling needs to be refurbished/replaced. 
• Participating in internal ISO audits.
• Striving to ensure operations are run safely, without incident. 
• Contributing to continuous improvement throughout the organization.
