CMM PROGRAMMER / INSPECTOR

REQUIRED SKILLS:
Must have U.S. citizenship status
Speak / read / write / understand English Basic math skills
Blueprint reading
Must be familiar with CNC equipment
Must be familiar with specifications (ASTM, ANSI, SAE, ASME) Must understand PC-DMIS
Must understand GD & T
Must be familiar with calibration
Must be able to effectively use standard measuring gages
Excellent analytical and fact-based problem-solving skills Good communications skills, both written and oral
Computer proficiency
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
7+ years of experience in a manufacturing production environment
High School or Equivalent Certification
WORK SUMMARY/ DESCRIPTION OF WORK PERFORMED
- Interpret customer drawings per ASMEY14 requirements and write CMM programs using PC-DMIS
- Coordinating, scheduling, and maintaining the calibration for the Hexagon CMM, Roamer Arm CMM, Optical Comparator and reporting it to the Quality Coordinator for documentation
- Participate in customer audits or Internal Audits as needed or requested by Director of Quality
- Operate the CMM and inspect parts via CMM and record and document actual results and findings by saving all CMM generated reports on a consistent and daily basis as needed per job
- Assist Quality Coordinator in any calibration needs for any measuring equipment devices as needed
- Assist Lead Inspector in verification of measurements provided by CNC Machine Operators on in-process inspection sheets
- Check, inspect and verify parts produced on a daily basis per job work orders, in-process inspection sheets and AQL standards
- Conform to all applicable ISO9001 and any other quality certification requirements
- Review and check specs to ensure drawing requirements can be met and are clear and that the specs match drawing callouts
