Cast Products, Inc., a TMA member company, is seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to join our progressive team in Norridge, IL.


    • Do you have an Associate Degree in Quality Assurance and/or ASQ Certification?
    • Do you have a minimum of five (5) years of quality control experience?


Our ideal hire will have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels within our organization, including suppliers and customers. Applicants must be proficient in the use of measuring equipment such as micrometers and calipers. Experience with Mini-tab software or other SPC software equivalent is also required. Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, CMM capability, Six Sigma practices and statistical mathematics must be exhibited.  


 Typical Job Duties Include:    

    • Develop Control Plans and PFMEAs with collaboration from the production and quality teams
      • Assist with maintenance of the ISO quality system
      • Develop corrective and preventative actions for rejected material
      • Interact with customers regarding complaints
      • Assist with creation and distribution of performance metrics as well as quality system training as directed by the Quality Manager
      • Develop all aspects of PPAP documentation including gage R&R and MSA analysis
      • Preparation and analysis of ISIR reports for required dimensional corrections
      • Assist with scheduling and maintaining gage calibrations
      • Perform process capability studies
      • Develop SPC charting per customer requirements
      • Work with other employees to resolve supplier related issues and process related quality issues
      • Assist with training on the use of various inspection equipment
