Principal Manufacturing is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Broadview, IL. As a leader in fineblanking, conventional stamping and plastic injection molding, Principal Manufacturing sets itself above the competition.

The Inventory Control Specialist will keep an accurate record of all items added to or taken from inventory. Manage and maintain parts inventory and budget. Responsible for addressing complaints and resolving problems for employees related to parts and materials.

                       

Major Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Loading and unloading inventory into Plex- (ERP system) and conducting regular inventory analysis.
  • Review demand patterns, weeks of supply, safety stock and inventory turnover to establish optimum holding costs.
  • Run a series of inventory reports daily, weekly, or monthly and perform detailed analysis of item performance.
  • Develop accurate and consistent enhancements to the inventory reporting structure.
  • Identify 'heavy' and 'low turn' inventory items and maintain communication reports for sales team.
  • Perform inventory adjustments (quantity and price variance analysis)
  • Prepare, schedule and conduct regular inventory analysis and bi-annual inventory physical counts.
  • Follows all company safety rules and TS requirements and maintain work area clean and orderly within lean guidelines.
  • Based on need, may be asked to perform other duties as required by PMC.

 

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent Education/ Certification
  • Specialized courses related to materials management or inventory
  • Organizational and problem solving skills
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with all departments.
  • Ability to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate personnel.
  • Ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
